There are a few teams out there that could use a third baseman though. Both LA teams are options. Not sure what kind of bullpen help either team would make available for Inge though.

I seriously thought that they would keep Inge and Cabrera would move back out to the outfield, but I forgot the Tigers picked up Jacque Jones.

It would be a shame to lose Inge, but unfortunately you have to make some tough moves to make the team better. I just hope he finds success where ever he goes.

I thought the same thing about Inge. One if they do trade for bullpen that at least we would really gain from his loss. Second I thought if they keep him then he really fits the platoon player spot. He has played third, first, outfield, and catcher. My opinion all of those very well also. So I think if they hold onto him that he would still bring needed value and maybe that extra piece that someone like the Red Sox's don't have.

We will see it should be an exciting season.

Think about this the tigers projected number 9 hitter is now Pudge a career .300 hitter. The only downside to this is that Inge is now the odd man out and is most likely to be traded for some bullpen help. He has been a dedicated player who always gives more then 100%. You have to be a special player to live through the 119 loss season and stay here.

Detroit is definitely buzzing with the great news! Tiger season ticket sales are already up and Bernie Smilovitz is pretty much saying the 2008 Word Series Pennant belongs to the Tigers!!

It doesn't matter how many prospects they gave up, in my opinion. Both Willis and Cabrera are in their mid 20's. Some impact players don't get to the majors until their late 20's. Willis and Cabrera both have won a World Series, and Willis is the oldest, turning 26 this coming January. What a great move! I am very excited, too.
